Our friends attended a wedding on Easter Sunday.

One bridesmaid only, who happened to be expecting her 1st child.
Her due date was the day before the wedding !

Sure enough, on the night of Good Friday, her labour started and baby arrived bang on the due date.

Our friends were gobsmacked...
30 hours after delivery, the new mother fulfilled her duty as matron of honour to the bride.
Her OH and new baby attended the wedding too

Good for her, something to tell her baby when it grows up

When o.h's son married 7 years ago last August, the bride was due to give birth two months later and her matron of honour was due in September!

My thoughts exactly Caroline. LOL

My daughter married 2 yrs ago ( Avitar) but, the chosen best man and his wife couldn't attend because it was their 1st baby's due date too.

It was a slightly different scenario because the couple live in Canada.
My daughter recalls that they mentioned this in passing, to their wedding DJ during a meeting about music etc

Unbeknown to either the bride or groom, the DJ did some FB stalking and by contacting friends, he tracked down the (would have been) groom

During the first dance, the DJ turned the music down and played a recording that he had made.
It was from the Canadian couple wishing them well etc
It was so unexpected. My daughter and son in law were delighted.

Halfway through the evening reception, they received a text.

Baby had arrived around the same that they were pronounced husband and wife

Sparkly.
My sister in law was a pregnant mother of the groom at her son's wedding

My youngest daughter wanted her sister & future sil to be her bridesmaids. Unfortunately both were heavily pregnant on the date of wedding so opted out. Her sister's baby started on its journey during the wedding but arrived 2 days later & sil's baby arrived 3 weeks later.
