I am off to buy a new microwave cos I wrecked ours yesterday by putting it on and forgetting to put the food in it. It melted the bit that turns the table - two minutes before I realised what I'd done - and, girls, close your eyes and ears - completely kn*ck*ed it - kicking myself now. :-( :-0

Tried to bake potatoes today and they are over-cooked in one part and hard as the hobs of hell in another part - so it's well wrecked. This one did grilling and convection too which I rarely used anyway. I am going for a simple knob-operated microwave this time so that anyone who uses it has no need to ask me how to do it. They can simply turn one knob to 800 or whatever heat then turn a second knob to time needed. I bet no one makes one as simple as that!
