I have baked this morning ..... lemon traybake and some lavender butterfly cakes.

As for the rest of the day, once I've finished icing the cakes, I intend to let OH cook for the rest of the day as it's BBQ weather. I have done my duty by making a Waldorf salad, cheese coleslaw and a very tasty concoction whose recipe was taken from one of our newspapers last year. It involves rocket, mozzarella, Serrano, figs and a bit of chopped mint with a delicious dressing of lemon olive oil, balsamic vinegar and extra balsamic glaze.

After icing, my chores will be over for the weekend then all I have to do will be to eat. :-D

A friend was given an 'afternoon tea for two ' voucher as a birthday present and she's kindly taking me with her, so we're off to Bath today. Should be very civilized.

After that I imagine I will be thrashed by Sharron at Scrabble again ( it's a tough leaning curve!) , kindling and curling up with my two cats. :-)

Shirley we have that fancy concrete in the front and partly in the back gardens. OH is already pottering about outside, I suspect he will be out their all day ( I make an appearance when all the heavy work is done :-D ) It was my Mum's birthday on Wednesday or would of have been, our first one without her. One of my sisters got me and the others sisters a bush or shrub its called Mothers day I love it.

Det sounds lovely hope it stays warm and brings everyone out.

The local food festival in aid of the Village Hall. Deep pockets will be required!
They’ve been so lucky with the weather in recent years. It might not have been warm but has always been dry & sunny.

Catching up on some gardening

Jet washed the front garden frontage yesterday, can't remember when it was last done as it was one on those jobs that got sidetracked when hubby was having mobility problems. Had forgotten what a nice colour it was , it looks great again

It's that coloured concrete that looks like fancy tiling and was done many moons ago

Now concentrating on the back garden

:-D
