On the way home from shopping we had torrential rain, the nurse couldn't see out the window so parked up for a bit. The roads were flooded and we couldn't even see the pavements. Never seen it quite that bad before. :-0

I remember I once topped up at Tesco filling station. On the way home it started sputtering, almost stalling. Dirty petrol :-| A pal of mine cleaned the fuel pump for me.

Gawd it’s hot n sticky here, Just put me shorts on to do a bit outside, went to Tesco this morning, came out to load my stuff in boot, the car opposite was red hot and running with no one inside :-0 :-0

Called over to the doorman in Tesco...he came out faffing as what to do, about 5 mins later a little old man com es along with his wife looking at us looking at his car, you have left the car running I says...can’t have he says I got the key....I tried the doo} and it was all open.....that’s why it wouldn’t lock I says because you left it running..they had only been shopping for an hour :-0 :-0

Lovely day here. Not got the young un yet so I've spent a couple of hours on my tree and watching the mother trying to entice the baby bird out of one of the other nesting boxes. Only bubby's head has appeared so far, it's very reluctant. What a patient mother though.

We have three nesting boxes but one has not been used this year. We have a roosting box, a hedgehog box and, since yesterday when we saw them on telly, a swift box. I never know whether the roosting box is being used cos it's right at the bottom of the garden, facing away from the house and hidden by bushes and a tree.
