Fred's mate brought in something long to put a smile on my face today.

I told him the more you pull it the more it grows so he pulled the first rhubarb of the season.

Rhubarb always reminds me of my uncle.
At his funeral, the warden of his flats spoke fondly of his cooking efforts for other residents ( he had been an Army chef ). Uncle used to say that his biggest problem was finding a dish long enough to cook fresh rhubarb.

My Father donkeys years ago used to chop rhubarb up into dices and boil it until it became mush. Then he'd let it cool and drink it. Said it was good for your blood.

A bus trip driver comes any day now up our allotments and takes all the rhubarb he can gather over to Spain. !!!

I have never encountered any lust after fresh rhubarb but I live in hopes and continue to eat my rhubarb.
