With Neil Oliver on (I think) Sunday?

Talking with my daughter, it transpires, she was on the dig that dug up the animal bones - and the pelvis bone.
She did a spot of digging as her 'job experience' at school in 1998, then went back in 1999, just because she enjoyed it - and could!

...and was taught 'archaeological behaviour' .
Despite being under 18, she was brought back a couple of times 'slightly the worse for drink', by an archaeological loving policeman on the dig :-S :-S

Me 'Oh, thank you. I didn't realise 'work experience' involved such long hours.' :-D :-D

Daughter 'assumed' I hadn't watched it - but as it was 'local', I clenched my teeth!

I don't mind Neil Oliver but just can't follow him. It is, I am sure, nothing to do with him or his delivery of information but I just cannot lock my mind on to what he is saying.

The one historian on television who I don't like is Juliette Gardiner.

I think I do have the King Alfred programmes recorded but I am into the Black Death thi week!

I don't like or dislike Neil.Oliver, but I'm fascinated by King Alfred! We used to live in Wantage, his birthplace and there is a very fine statue of him in the market place! Odd really as it shows him as a fine warrior whereas in reality he was quite weedy and suffered from stomach problems all his life!
The Black Death?!!! :-D :-D. Which channel PLEASE!
