Bless you Florence . I so agree with you

As all know i lost my hubby 2 plus years ago . We had been married for 58 years ,we met when I was 18 and he was 21 .

I am on my own now ,have family who look out for me but don't live close by.

I try to get out and have joined a couple of local groups but when you close that front door you are on your own

Thank goodness for the cat to talk to!!!

I would be lost without this site . Its lovely to read the threads and to help out on the other boards

Folks here have always been supportive . Some I have met personally,some I feel I know just from reading their posts

Bless you, Florence. I do agree it's nice to think someone is around when you feel a bit solitary. I haven't been as frequent a visitor on here as I used to be but hope I can 'talk' to you sometimes when you are on your own.

Life is different for you now, but it will become more 'normal' as time goes on. Chin up xx

Can I just say, thankyou to everyone on this site who puts up funny, serious or just general threads which get us all talking.

As some of you know the last year has been difficult for me as I moved house after 25 years of marriage and began a new single life. I have had and still am battling things through a solicitor.
But through all the horrid times, sad times and blooming awful times, I can always rely on the great family of people on here to offer lovely kind words, support, advice and a great distraction too which is good for the blood pressure.

Some of the threads and funny things make me and im sure others howl with laughter which is great for relieving tension or depression.


I have noone in the evening to talk to or converse with unless daughter comes to stay a few days.So I really find it brightens up a boring evening and keeps the brain ticking over with all the different topics for discussion.


Long may you all continue to talk.
