I've had the fan on before in this weather - usually on the floor, while Betty (cat) has been on the table - lying on my attempt to create a family tree - so the fan was a long way from Betty..
I've tried to distract her from my 'tree', and have brought out a coffee table I no longer use, put some paper in it - and YES! she's lying on it.....but goes back on the table after about an hour, and the paper falls off the coffee table.
Well, while she was on the (low) coffee table, without thinking, I turned the fan on, then realised she was likely to run a mile, and never go on the coffee table again - just return to lying on my family tree :-(

Well, aren't I surprised. She sat up - looked at the fan (it's one that turns from side to side), looked at me, then lay down! :-D
I went to turn it off - and got a Betty 'side eye'. :-\

She's one hot cat, who's really appreciating the fan :-D :-D
