..then sort of regret it?

For the past 20 odd years, I have had a small suitcase that belonged to my gran.
Inside, it has various things, including a few 'horror's.
A 'Corocraft' brooch, National Savings badges for 10 years and 20 years service, an amber brooch from Pitlochry, a brownie tie pin, a heart shaped tie pin, a mink butterfly brooch, and a ptarmagan foot brooch.

The biggest item, though is a 1920's 'piano' shawl.
It's a beautiful thing - except the 18 inch 'fringe' is one mass of knots, and crinkles :-(
Every couple of years or so, I look at it - contemplate untangling the fringe - then put it back.

Well - today - I went for it!!
2 hours - about 6 inches of fringe untangled and tied in bunches - once I've done this to all of it, I will spray each individual bunch and straighten the strands out.

...this may take me some time......

It is like this one - only with pink, not yellow flowers - and mine isn't faded -but it is very tangled.

How beautiful.........it will be well worth the effort of untangling it all......but then how to keep it untangled?

I've found a website - attached to the one explaining how to de-tangle - that shows how to store the 'fringe' - apparently, you twist it, and tie it.

...quite a time until I'm there.... :-(
