He would eat that David after chasing it all over the place and frightening it to death

He doesn't wear a collar Liz

Was advised against it by cats protection when we got him as he had an allergic reaction to them when a kitten .

Even the non flea collars he can't wear

Has he got a bell on his collar, Shirley? It might deter the birds at least.

He eats well so isn't hungry

He also catches sparrows and brings them in . They are usually alive so we have a battle to rescue and release

guess he is just a hunter . Not for food but for the shear thrill of the hunt for him :-(

Feed him/her more and perhaps he won't be inclined to hunt ?

My first cat years ago, ginger and white, used to catch rabbits. :-0

I know David but I really don't want him to bring me them

Guess he must love me big time as he thinks I need feeding !

Thing is he plays with them and harasses them till he loses interest cos they no longer try to get away

But to have to dispose of the corpses is just as bad

I hate them big time because when I was living at home in a Victorian terrace we often had mice problems
Lying in bed with scampering over head in the dark was so frightening

The pest control was called in several times because although we always had at least two cats but they weren't allowed upstairs :-(

Bee cat is catching mice big time

Field ones I know because we are on the edge of open countryside with orchards mostly in the near vicinity

Had a sweep up yesterday of the patio and yuk a dead mouse !!

Went out this morning to feed the tortoise and on the way back into the lounge yet another corpse !!

They are small but he is catching them and bringing them back

I would like to have the door open but am worried he will be bring me in live presents as he has been doing
He was out most of last evening and then came in around 10pm ,had a quick eat and wanted out again so I unlocked the door and said to him I,m off to bed so you are out all night

Can't wait up for several hours for him to come back!!

So he was waiting to come in at 6am all innocent and no pressies but guess he did bring one back but killed it as it was injured around its head / neck

Sweeping them into a dustpan and disposing in the garden bin makes me want to throw up

But I almost feel sorry for them :-D
