Yes we did make it .we went to Hurghada instead

Son in law had big problems getting his money back from the tour operator who was still booking for Sharm even though no flights were going there.but after lodging a complaint with his credit card provider and threatening them with trading standards he got nearly all of it back
He had paid in excess of £3500 but they tried to wriggle out of giving it back and made several attempts to charge for some of the holiday expenses . I.e. Will give back air fair but you have to pay for the hotel as you are cancelling
Nope. We are still willing to go how will you get us there??
Big arguments back and forth but eventually he won most of it back Should have been all of it but he settled for a small loss

The hotel we went too was jazz Aquaviva makadi and we absolutely loved it ,so much so we are going back there again

Daughter and SIL never do the same place twice but she said I would like to come here again for my 60th in 2018 so thats were we are off too again

Did you ever make it last time? From memory, a holiday had been booked then Egypt was declared off limits by the Home Office, unless absolutely necessary, after a plane was blown up.

We are off to Egypt in a couple of weeks on a family holiday

Daughter has a special birthday whilst we are there

Was hoping that I would still be acclimatised to the very hot weather so it wouldn't be too much of a shock to my old system but looks like will, have to start over again !!

Realy looking forward to it as this time we plan to visit luxor ,the valley of the Kings for a days tour as well as a day out snorkelling in the choral reefs ( not me I will stay on the boat) as well as swimming with the dolphins

;-)

Crikey - that size caravan is bigger than any I grew up in - and I wasn't on holiday - it was my 'permanent' home! :-S

We were surprised how warm it is in Kent, Gwyn.
We had a lovely week there in September last year and the year before.

We loved it. The year before was really hot and we sat under my cousins willow tree in Dymchurch with a glass of wine! :-D

A lovely warm day in the south east.....perhaps it's because we are nearer the equator?

I went to a food festival in a local town and wore a light cardigan on top of a short sleeve T shirt. It was too hot so I ended up carrying the cardigan.

October is often really pleasant, so lots more hope ahead yet.Enjoy each day for what it is and make the best of them.

It certainly does feel that way today!
Cold, very strong winds, torrential rain and some lightning

But we have had good Septembers for at least the last two years
