An old toothbrush works wonders for scrubbing round the taps...

Since losing the plot, I have spent many hours in the bath and have not, until now, felt either mentally or physically able to clean it when I finally stepped out.

It was an utter disgrace, truly disgusting and, of course, the worse it became, the more it put me off tackling it.

Well, the time had come and, yesterday, after I had finally emerged from it's murky depths, I topped the water right up as far as I could and emptied the best part of a bag of washing soda into it.

It stood for about twelve hours and I let the water out. I went round it with one of those puckered net things that add a huge amount of cost to a bottle of shower gel at Christmas and it is almost perfectly clean now.

The only parts that are not clean, and they stand out in very bold relief, are the bits that were above the water. I think I might make the soda into a paste with some water and smear it on these bits.

I am both pleased and relieved that the soda worked and I feel much better for being able to see my bath clean and white again.
