Finally, after trawling through parish, 1939 reg, death regs etc I have spotted an event with the same day and month as my birthday! I was beginning to think the day was reserved for me ;-) :-D
Has anyone else noticed their day was not eventful or perhaps a popular day for birth wedding or burial?

My only claim to fame is that I am celebrated all over Australia because I was born on Australia Day in Coronation year.

The only reason that I support Oxford in the boat race is that on my birthday in 194something, they won.

OH was born on St. George's Day, which is also Shakespeare's birthday.

Mine was fairly anonymous until 2001, when it suddenly became infamous everywhere, as 9/11. :-(
