Has anyone been to Gibraltor on holiday please.what was it like and was it warm.
Thinking of going for Christmas.

I lived near Gibraltar for a while.
It should be warmer than here, but the weather is not guaranteed to be that good as you get the levante cloud over the rock which can make it a bit dull, also you can get winds.
Very difficult to advise as the weather is unpredictable at the moment all over the world, but just saying that if you’re looking for a sunny place at that time of the year it is much better in the Spring or Autumn.

Canaries and here a better bet. Know people who were posted to Gib and they didn't like the winters there. :-D May be difficult to get to Spain from there if you want to see the area.

I agree with Pat. Canaries have lovely temperatures at that time.
You have also the border in and out of Spain to contend with whatever time of year.

By the looks of it it is only as warm as the UK.

In fairness to Gib.it can be interesting.
Going up the rock in cable car-seeing the apes,,going to The Trafalgar cemetery where you find graves of a lot of Nelsons young sailors.Catalan bay where you get Lovely restaurants
Cheap booze and petrol a bit cheaper...Irish town and Main street for tax free goods,,but it is a small area and can be claustrophobic for a longer stay.

IMHO Not an ideal winter holiday. :-)
