Hope he will come back again to fix the remaining leak. I would definitely let the joiner know about his work and attitude.

Thanks Purple*Sparkly*Diamond,

The one gutter is ok, the other's still leaking, I'm going to suggest he comes back when it's not raining to try to sort it out.

He's not on the local 'trusted traders' list, he was recommended to me on a local page on social media, the only thing I can do is if his name comes up is pm the person looking for a joiner and suggest they check him out (wish I'd done this first) :-(

Hope the job's a good 'un, Shelley.

Check if he is listed with any trade groups, you could give him a bad review.

Purple*Sparkly*Diamond, he did the job in the pouring rain, he must have been soaked through, but I think he knew where it was going if he hadn't sorted it out, when I asked him about the extra he'd overcharged us (we has a written quotation) he got quite aggressive, so I decided to leave it, but told him I'd not be using him again and wouldn't be recommending him - not a nice man, hopefully the gutters are fixed. :-)

Well, the joiner turned up his afternoon at around 3:0 and left at 3:30 as he got out of his van the heavens open - it was torrential, sorry but it was all I could do not to laugh - think its called karma lol Hopefully this is the end of my 3 months of leaking gutters, and I can get some much needed zzzz.

Sharron, My thoughts exactly, don't think we'll be seeing him anytime soon (the 4 day extension has now expired - oh says give him another 2 days which makes it 3 weeks in total then take it further). :-(

Following on from my post 'September was a rubbish month for me' on the above date.
I sent a very polite recorded delivery letter (worded as per the sample letters from C. Advice) to the joiner giving him the chance to sort out my leaking gutters within the 14 days, he got back to me after 8 days saying he would as a 'goodwill gesture' come and sort the gutters out, the 14 days expired so I asked him polity when he planned to do the work and giving him an extension of 4 days, he got back to me and said he'd come one night next week - well if it's after 4:30 he's gonna need a miners helmet to see what he's doing!
(We've had leaking gutters since the end of July he did come around once to put sealant on them, but it didn't work). I think this is going to T.S.
