Why did somebody take it on themselves to RR it when it was being dealt with I wonder?





probably watching the wrong program, thought they were on fastest finger first, on who wants to be a millyonare!!

I agree with Emma...I do think Caroline is owed an apology..
Shame it has turned into something that shouldn't have in the first place :-S

Such a shame that it has come to this.
GR has changed over the years as we all know,
but one thing never changes on here is the time
and help given by the researchers which I am grateful
for.
An apology to Caroline would go a long way.

I have pm'd her with the rationale why 2peasinapod might have the same people in her tree.

it is a pity that someone RR'd Kyle's post, nasty though it was, as now it is not at all apparent what has upset so many members.

It might be worth pointing out that it is not Kyle's family tree that 2peasinapod has ...... but her own tree which just happens to be the same family and ancestors as Kyle.


There are about 20 trees on this site that I could call "my" tree, and some will have my name showing ............... but it really is a matter of fact that we share the same ancestors, even down to my generation.

I could possibly find as many as 100 trees on Ancestry that have the same ancestors with me, and some as far down as this generation .... which is why I have no children! At least none on any tree that I have online.

So it is not a matter of 2peasinapod stealing Kyle's tree, just a matter of common ancestors!


I would hope that Kyle would return to read this, but I doubt it!

I have no idea if Kyle is male or female, and I thank everyone for their support.

I'm hoping Kyle has realized a silly mistake was made and will not repeat it in the future.

Actually I believe that Kyle is female. She signs her name Kyle Bell (was Newland). I don't believe that being a new poster gives her the right to be so horribly rude to one of the helpers. Personally I don't mind "chasing away" this new member.

Kyle is a new poster &, yes, she did interpret Caroline's post incorrectly.
Give her the benefit of the doubt, remembering she was cross that someone had added her details to their tree.

The last thing the collective 'we' want is to chase away a new member & to stop them posting on the boards.

By Kyle's logic in that :"as I am a living relative I have the right to see a family tree regarding my family", those who have traced their ancestors back as far as, say 1200, would have to show everyone related to that person - even if that one person was the only link.
That would be thousands of people :-S

Kyle, that was a horrible, ignorant, ill-mannered response that you made to Caroline all because you didn't have the intelligence to read her post properly.
When one reads such a post as yours one is tempted to immediately RR it but in this case I think it's better to leave it so that people can see what kind of person you are.

Certainly not going to win 'charmer of the year'!

Perhaps Kyle would like to make an effort and research their genealogy themselves! t

I would like it known that I am appalled at the response Caroline had from this ill-mannered oik Kyle.
