Have mislaid her address some time ago and would like to get in touch with her if poss.
As it is Christmas and have just received a card from her i would like to know her address and telephone number so as to renew contact.
Hoping for success.

There's a Sheila M Andrews - would that be her?
The entry on the directorship list on FMP is only to 2003.

Will send by PM to see if its familiar

Have double checked - the property has been sold several times since 2003. This has been explained in a PM.

Michael - do you have information about any relatives, such as children & the like? As she's opted out of the ER, we might be able to trace her that way.

Hi yet again,
Sorry about the last Email.
We did have her down as 2 Maitland Close, but like you have said she has probably moved.
The card we have received has the Mail Centre as Swindon postmark,so presume she could be living in that area.
Would be great to have a Swindon directory as this could be the answer.
Will post anotther message request for someone who may be in possession of one.
Very many thanks for your assistance.
Regards.

How much easier it is for us ..................

ALL mail has to have a sender's return address on the outside of the envelope or package, preferably at the left upper side of the delivery address :-D

I find mail from the UK very annoying as there is no indication on the outside as to who the card/parcel is from until you open it, and then there is often no address of phone number inside.

That puts us in the same position that Michael is in now!

I don't think any other country is as bad as you lot!!!

Perhaps it's time that someone started a petition for the Royal Mail to insist on return addresses on the outside of ALL mail :-D

..... and don't say it is too hard to write your return address on 40 or 50 or more envelopes ......... we can buy sticky address labels ready printed, or buy a stamp and stamp pad with the address.

I have started putting senders name number and postcode on the back of letters now, since a cheque went astray...

I had looked on https://www.thephonebook.bt.com but couldn’t find a likely result, even when just putting Wiltshire. It could be that she’s ex-directory.

Michael, don’t bother starting another thread. People would only look at the same sites. Leave this one only, and may be someone can come up with a different suggestion.

Sylvia, I agree to a certain extent. There a couple of people who we only have contact with via Christmas Cards. I’ve been putting a small sticky address label on the reverse. A local sub-post mistress did advise making sure that you put ‘from’ if you do that. One customer was cross when his parcel was delivered to himself!

DET ..............

The recommended place for us from Canada Past is in the top left hand corner of the envelope or package, and it is almost always in much smaller print than the address to the recipient.

The other advantage is that with this system, we also get returned mail if the addressee is no longer at that address and cannot be forwarded ........ all the post office needs to do is either stamp reason for non-delivery, and return to sender, then add an arrow up to the left corner.

I always put a sticker on (free from various charities) or write my house number, postcode and UK on the ones going abroad
