There was a thread about it some months ago and we claimed and it does work! I think we just had to send off a copy of the POA and Death cert.

If you registered a Power of Attorney between April 2013 and March 2017 you may be entitled to a refund of part of your fee. This is because the Office of the Public Guardian did not reduce its fees when it should have done!!

I haven't tried any of this because it doesn't apply to Scotland, but good luck to anyone who does.
