Had a lovely beef stew and dumplings at the church at lunchtime followed by a really yummy pud. Choc and sponge and cream and cherries. I said what is this called, Rumpy Dumpy was the reply. Then a cuppa and an After Eight .

The Vicar is Chinese and he opened with

Some hae meat an canna, eat and some wad eat that want it,
But we hae meat and we can eat, and sae the Lord be thankit !!

was he a Scottish Chinese Vicar ??

Von, I have yet to celebrate Burns night and I have Scottish ancestors down one of my second great-grandmother's line. My grandmother, however, always had Scotties - Hamish, Jock and Mac were their names. (Nobody ask whether the Scotties were West Highland terriers or another breed please because it is too far in the past for me to remember.) ;-) ;-) ;-)

I do like haggis though. :-D

But then, there's not much that I won't eat and if I'm a guest of someone I eat whatever's put in front of me. :-D
