I have exploded eggs over poaching them in the microwave. That makes a mess, and a loud bang! :-D

oh yes, literally exploding pan!

I stopped using Vision pans .............. I found they were too heavy when filled with eg potatoes and water, even before I got arthritis in my hands.

I once exploded a very nice Pyrex casserole by putting it on a ring on the stove while I browned some chicken pieces in a pan on another ring.

Unfortunately, I didn't realise that both rings were on .............. I was lucky none of the Pyrex bits or chicken hit me when it went off!

It was a small gallery kitchen in an apartment, with the door opening into the dining area ............. we found some bits of Pyrex in the carpet there weeks later!

Ive done that boiled an egg in a vision pan.....destroyed both!....+...quaint ceiling decoration....

I am actually usually pretty good with saucepans. My non stick ones are over twenty years old, in fact two small ones are over 25 years old. The one I burnt is about ten.

OH destroyed 2 pans in the space of about 6 months by putting eggs on to boil, and then forgetting all about them.

They made an interesting pattern on the newly decorated kitchen walls and ceiling :-(

I lived with my sister for a couple of years.
She had a 'habit' of boiling eggs - until the pan was dry. :-|
If we were 'lucky' the eggs exploded.
I decided she had to pay for replacement saucepans :-| :-| :-|

Well that was certainly one way to sort it. Before OH went to golf he emptied the dishwasher and put stuff away. He rejected a saucepan that had on a previous occasion caught and I couldn't get the small marks off. I deceded to sort it and put some distilled vinegar in with some water, as I often do, and put it to heat on the hob. Started to balance the household accounts as I do every month and had a slight problem so it took longer. Yep saucepan burnt dry and is twice as bad as it was when I started :-D :-D I think a new saucepan might be the answer now! :-) :-)
