OH sent me some flowers by post .lovely thought but they have only sent the wrong ones .been in touch with the firm & they are sending me another bunch free oh happy days never get something for nothing :-D :-D need another vase x

I thought it was a present from the dog :-0 :-S

Every day's Valentines day when you're with your soul mate :-D

My dad never failed to post a card to his sweetheart, my mum, until their last few years. He'd get the sales assistant to address the envelope to 'add a bit of mystery'. Old school romantic and a true gentleman was my dad <3

We exchange cards
Then I take his bank card the town with his consent
and buy anything that takes my fancy
As he is to ill to buy me a gift himself
and he isn't any good on the computer
To be honest since he once bought me a fishing rod for my Birthday
when I dont fish
He said it was the only thing I didn't have
Nor did I want one
Years later its still in its bag unused

If he is well enough on the day
we will go out for lunch If not we wont :-D

We only ever exchanged cards

We have birthdays 9 days apart so agreed many moons ago not to buy each other a present but just exchange cards and to go out to dinner around the Birthday time

Hubby though always had flowers delivered for me for my birthday and our anniversary

We did exchange Christmas presents though

I miss the cards and flowers <3

It's always been only exchanging a card .........

......... both of us find that dates like Valentines Day are way over commercialised especially over here.

It's not just flowers .......... but the ads are for diamonds, fur coats (!), cars etc. Plus of course, sexy lingerie ;-)

We have always just done cards ,but I always get flowers :-D. We are not the most romantic of couples but after nearly 38years married the love is still there (most of the time :-D ) . If OH could see this he would think I was a soppy old date ! :-D

I give my OH top notch roses from the florist, a card and take her to one of her favourite restaurants. This year we will be a day late 'cos she will be in France on the 14th.

Last year she gave me a huge love heart helium balloon which floated around the office for weeks. God knows what she will bring back from Strasbourg.

We always remember our anniversary and each give a card.

As neither of us remember our wedding anniversary on the day, the chances of celebrating Valentine's Day are zero!

Got cards in boxes when I was younger meals out but when I got Married that stopped

When we were young we used to buy cards, then OH decided they were not necessary. I usually get nothing, sometimes I make him a card but really we don't need a special day to declare our love. <3 <3
