I wondered where Dan was this morning.

On lunchtime news he was interviewed in Tanzania, where he is filming for Comic Relief.

He was noticeably moved by today's tribute flight.

I happened to be watching Breakfast when it was announced that Tony would have his wanted fly past to honour his American 'family'.

It was great to see that granted this morning, when BBC showed live coverage from Sheffield.

What a lifetime of quietly honouring and remembering the sacrifice of those young men 75 years ago.
