Maggie - puts me in mind of a short story by RC Cook called 'Green Fingers'. A woman planted a lock of her hair and...well, that would be telling!

'So what' you may say.
Well, my sister (as usual) cut it - but we'd had quite a bit of red wine - I am now an homage to Grayson Perry's wig!! :-D :-D
Never mind, I could have spent £40 at a hairdressers and come out the same. :-S

The interesting thing is, my sister cut it in the garden.
We picked up most of the hair and put it in a plant pot.
However, when we went into the conservatory, a jackdaw came down and started picking up the hair from the grass.
So, we tipped all the hair out on the lawn.
Six jackdaws came down, in pairs.

They picked some hair up, then lay it back down, straightened it up, and flew off with it.
They all did the 'straightening up' bit - and looked like they had huge grey moustaches! :-D :-D

My hair is now lining the nests of 3 pairs of jackdaws :-D
