I've never been a 'horsey' person but why these beautiful animals are so disposable is beyond me :-(

That makes 4 horses dead at Aintree this week but nowhere near the thousands of foals that are slaughtered each year due to over breeding to get the best and they call it a sport :-S


Edit they are saying 1 horse died so that makes 3 not 4, will see later on what they have to say in the reports.

Edit One horse General Principle taken away in an ambulance no news on the horse's fate yet.

a rider is in hospital with a 'suspected' broken leg. He'd best be hoping it isn't or they'll shoot him. :-0

Well I've just had a clean shave, washed my hair and had a good bath, feel better for it.

I've gone for Walk-in the Mill, Noble Endeavour, Valseur Lido & Mala Beach.

OH has Regal Encore, Pleasant Company & Folsum Blue.

I checked they all have four legs :-D

They had a virtual grand national race on earlier if that is anything to by OH & I don't stand a chance :-(

No sweeps for me now that I'm retired ... never won anyway.

When Dad was alive we'd all have a little flutter - I won with Red Rum can't remember but I think it was either 20 to 1 or 40 to 1. Not won a bean since! :-S

Just checked and I got the odds wildly wrong. It seemed as though I had won quite a bit - but obviously not! :-(
