More than one partner is either deceit or showing off wealth. They all need to be housed fed clothed and hopefully treat with the same love and respect.
It would be an advantage if the wives / partners liked each other.

I've been watching the film Paint Tour Wagon in which Elizabeth (Jean Seberg) loves
Ben Hank Marvin) and Partner (Clint Eastwood) Good film, very amusing.

If all are agreeable why shouldn't a woman have two me.?

Some religious persuasions allow a man to have four wives ;-)
