Your local library service may have access to Findmypast. Selected newspapers can be searched on that to about 1950

If they happen to be in Wales, you can access all Welsh newspapers on line for free at The National Library of Wales.

Try your local library. You used to be able to join Lancashire Libraries online and access newspaper archives through them
