Biography

Robert Buffum, thought to be of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, was presumably the son of James and Margery (Raylton) Bougham, who had married there on February 13, 1589/90. [1] [2]

He married first, Margaret Blessing, at the church of St. Nicholas, Great Yarmouth on August 23, 1613. [1] Margaret was the daughter of John and Joan (Preaste) Blessing. [2]

He married second, the widow Tamosin/Thomasine (Ward) Thompson on August 11, 1634 at South Walsham, Norfolk. She was born c1606, the daughter of George and Dionus (Burrow) Ward of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England and widow of John Thompson

I've just looked at the above image, Emma and it is definitely John. He was however baptised in the Ecclesiastical Year 1 Apr 1634 to 31 Mar 1635 so that would mean he was baptised in 1636.

mentioned.
His mother Thomasine Ward married a John Thomson
in 1632, wonder if they had a son called John.

Seems that the surname has been researched a few times.
