THIS IS A BRILLIANT CLIP!

It's by the late great RYAN DAVIES. A brilliant entertainer. Comedy genius and beautiful singer too.

It's HIS VERSION of the JEMIMA NICHOLAS STORY

"NAPOLEON v MAM!" ;-)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRtsgOYJoD4

*Jemima Nicholas of course was the original Jemima Fawr (Jemima The Great or Big Jemima) who fought off the French Invaders near Fishguard in 1797!
She was my 5x Great Aunt! <3

Next is the favourite hymn of, not only Wales Rugby Fans, but many other people!

This week I found I had a DNA match to a direct ancestor of WILLIAM WILLIAMS PANTYCELYN, an 18th Century prolific Welsh Hymn Writer whose hymn Arglwydd Arwain Trw'r Anialwch became...

Here's another favourite, this time sung by the beautiful....

KATHERINE JENKINS ~ CALON LAN (PURE HEART)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7nNhiwTW-w

CALON LAN
Nid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus,
Aur y byd na'i berlau mân:
Gofyn wyf am galon hapus,
Calon onest, calon lân.

Calon lân yn llawn daioni,
Tecach yw na'r lili dlos:
Dim ond calon lân all ganu
Canu'r dydd a chanu'r nos.

ENGLISH LITERAL TRANSLATION:

PURE HEART
I don't ask for a luxurious life,
the world's gold or its fine pearls,
I ask for a happy heart,
an honest heart, a pure heart.

A pure heart full of goodness
Is fairer than the pretty lily,
None but a pure heart can sing,
Sing in the day and sing in the night

Some of you may have seen the clip I posted a little while ago by Ryan Davies and his version of the Jemima Nicholas story!

Well he was not only a really funny man, but also a beautiful singer!

Here he is singing a Welsh Version of SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW while accompanying himself on the piano

They really do Jem. I was brought up with Mum and Dad having sing songs around our piano with the neighbours when I was growing up. Happy days, and such lovely special memories left now.
