Hello all, Have been off line for a couple of days due to some area fault ,phone, tv box and internet all down . It came back for about an hour then off again but was back again today . Been off twice since but only for a few mins so something is still dodgy but hopefully it will be sorted properly soon.
Seems like our neighbours are moving they are really nice so will be sorry to see them go. they have only been here about 18 mths but since the house was sold to a landlord there have been several tenants in the house some good some not so good. Have to wait and see now what the new ones are like.
Hope Linda's move has gone well and she enjoys her new home.
Florence hopefully all will be settled soon with the flat and you will be able to relax. A bit less to worry about.
Just started to rain again here but did get a line of washing dry today
Hope everyone is ok . Take care.
Ginnie.

Florence :-D :-D Maybe Linda is sharing a cell with Charity Dingle from Emmerdale ;-)
More probably I expect Linda wants to throttle her new internet provider.

Morning chit chatters.
A lovely bright & sunny day but chilly. Good day for washing too so a load going out soon.
Ordered some grass seed with my food order and a garden fork from Amazon. Our back lawn isnt great with bare patches etc. My gardener last year said to sew some grass seed in the spring so getting organised for that.
Found I could also get Miracle grow compost from Tesco but it says "out of stock". maybe too early yet but would be good if I can get some delivered.
Slept longer today and felt I needed it hence not long up and sitting in Pjs with a coffee but off to shower & get dressed now as things to do.
Hope everyone looking in has a good day.
Joan, hope you are ok, still thinking of you & your family
Linda, have you strangled OH yet :-D :-D :-D Hope its going well with unpacking.

Congratulations, Florence! I hope the sale of your mum's flat now goes ahead quickly.
Very cold again here. Sleet yesterday, and snow on the hills overnight. Some lovely sunshine for a while this morning - before the rain came on again.. Extra jumper this evening, and the heating (old storage heaters) back up to max.

I hope the move went well, and that Linda is getting the house straight.
I don't have to have a move to have an OH putting things in the wrong places!
I'm forever searching kitchen drawers for items that we use daily and have a "home", although you wouldn't know it!
I'm also always keeping my eyes open for where he has put his own things ............. coat, cap, cheque book, keys, etc etc etc.
Yes, he is in the early stages of "forgetfulness", but is also clever enough to deceive the doctor!
We're having a brief break from rain, and even had a clear sky last night so I could see the almost-full moon (Feb 24 is full moon). I never saw even a slightest sign of January's full moon, and I'm not sure I'm going to see any more of this month's!
I did hear murmurs of "showers or flurries" for Tuesday in a report on the radio this morning :-P :-0

Well friend has been and gone, contracts signed and she will post them in town 1st class for me.
Went outside for a few minutes when saying goodbye ,but oh my , my hands were frozen very quickly. Brrrrr ventured back indoors straightaway and made a hot coffee. Heating going on early today.
I'm thankful my last 2 house moves did not involve a man lol if it had of done, think I would have put him on tea duties and putting away empty boxes only :-D

Linda seems super organised and as long as she can keep OH from putting things away in unexpected places, I'm sure she soon will be straight.
A lovely start to the day with blue sky and sunshine, but already it has gone dull and we're expecting more rain later. It's so chilly too, so I will find indoor tasks to keep me busy today.

Gwyn, I really wouldn't like to be in her shoes at the moment. All those boxes to be unpacked! However she doesn't work so has plenty of time to empty each box and put away at her own pace so that's a bonus.
If you are looking in Linda, hope all went well.
I finally got the contracts through and just waiting on a friend to come & witness my statement....one step closer :-D
Cloudy day and showery but the sun is trying to peep through. Its much colder today and there is snow on the hills...eeeek
Right off to be busy. Shall look in later on.
Have a good day everyone

Hope all goes well tomorrow linda. Here's hoping you do have internet as when I moved last 2 times, it was 6 weeks before got it connected!! We did have to change tel numbers both times as well.
Will you have a landline or are you all digitised?
Dismal day here and glad I was indoors. Just been busy doing research but i have had enough now as my brain is scrambled. Waiting on daughter coming home with food lol
Heating went on an hour ago and all nice and cosy now but can still here the wind howling outside. Think Spring has gone back into hibernation lol
Have a good evening all

Hope it all goes smoothly, Linda! You do seem to be very organised, so there shouldn't be any problems.
When you get there, unpack the kettle, have a cuppa, put your feet up on a box, and breathe a sigh of relief - before starting on the unpacking.

All done :-D There are just a few IT bits to unplug in the morning and to give the bathroom a quick clean before the removal van arrives at 8.30 am. I am really pleased that my wonderful neighbour has invited us round for dinner this evening, so I wont have to bother with making a meal.
The internet at the new house is supposed to be being connected on Friday, so fingers crossed that happens and I can get back on line.
See you at the other side :-D

Well, that is enough for today. OH has been taping most of the boxes shut. There are just a few left open to put things in tomorrow. Of course he doesn’t listen. I checked the study and told him that he could tape them all up apart from one small box which I was still using. Of course when I went to get some sellotape, he had fastened it up, so he had to open it again :-(
Tomorrow there is just the remaining kitchen stuff, but not much of it. The tv’s to box up. The printer and smart speakers. Hmm, more to do than I thought, but it will be fine.

Afternoon from the gloomy overcast wild west!
No sun today at all, showery and its awful with heavy grey clouds....rather depressing looking out!
Men have no concept of moving. Throwing random things in random boxes is always the norm but.....when you arrive at the new property they are the first ones to complain they can't find something lol
Many years ago when the children were quite small, we managed away for 4 days. I had laid out the children's clothes on their beds and also my own clothes as I would always work out what they and I would wear each day so not taking too much. I would fold carefully and pack neatly so nothing was creased up when we arrived at the destination.
OH back then, took his large holdall into which he literally threw 4 pairs of undies, 4 pairs of socks and the t-shirts etc were thrown in the bag. Hence when we arrived, his clothes were all screwed up and I was despatched to the b & b owner to ask for an iron :-P :-P grrrr
Decided to do the ironing today, was only 1/2 basket but I need to crack on with research etc this afternoon and don't want a huge basketful on Sunday..
Sylvia, never fails here either or when I lived down south. At Easter down in Kent, the Fair always arrived in time for Easter. It was allowed to open at 3pm on Good Friday. Mum took us on Easter Monday and It was guaranteed on the 2 mile walk, the heavens would open...always!
Or later when I had a car in the 80's, there was a huge Boot Fair in this enormous field with over 1000 stalls. We would get up early and yes without fail the bank holiday rain came down. Any BBQs planned for a bank holiday were a washout too.
So you have my sympathy for your BH today.
Havent had any lunch yet so off to make a couple of crumpets soon and then horse on with family tree.
Hope everyone looking in is well and ok.
Joan, hope you are getting on ok <3

Vera, if we ever move again, we definitely will get the removal company to pack. We are in our mid seventies and packing is physically demanding and stressful of course.
