Current inflation rates: -

Netherlands 14.3%,
Italy 13%,
Belgium 12.27%,
UK 11%,
Germany 10%

The figures I saw yesterday gave Italy with the highest rate, then Germany just ahead of the UK. I suspect different institutions or countries have different criteria for measuring inflation but we all seem to be in the same boat.

Whatever way they work it out the working class is always going to be the ones who will be worse off while the rich get richer, Robin Hood in reverse.

The thing is that the other countries all have positive growth rates for their economies which should mean their inflation figures start to drop soon. The UK has negative growth with little prospect of becoming significantly positive for a few months.
