An event that began in Vancouver about 20 years ago is Gung Haggis Fat Choy Robbie Burns Chinese New Year Dinner. :-D :-D :-D

Started by a Chinese man, it features Scottish and Chinese poetry, and a new delicacy ...... Haggis and Shrimp Wonton Dumplings.

This year it will be held on Sunday February 19 in a large restaurant in Chinatown.

It was originally held around January 25 to celebrate the coincidence of Chinese New Year and Robbie Burns birthday, but has now become more of a celebration of combining cultures in untraditional ways.

That is interesting Sylvia. I bet the dinners are interesting too. And fun!

That's an interesting combination of cultures and celebrations, but why not?

Daughter and I often prepare and share a meal for each of those featured days.
Not being a lover of seafood, I think she would prefer neat haggis like we had yesterday though.
