How much is it now for standard pay for the year has it gone up? Think I only paid about £9 last year

I don't know that there is a set standard price.
Everyone seems to pay different amounts.... and they can vary by many pounds :-S

"Standard Membership

This is available for either £4.95 per month or you can buy a six monthly package at £14.95 or an annual package at £19.95 ."
https://www.genesreunited.co.uk/help/faqs?key=177

That's if you're starting from scratch.
If you're renewing an existing membership, it varies from person to person.
If you let it renew automatically, it costs whatever the price was at the time you first started your membership.

For instance, it costs me £17.96, but I know some people pay a lot less than that - and so would I if I hadn't stupidly stopped my membership a few years ago, and then restarted, which means I'm paying more than I would have if I'd kept my membership going.

If you're a paying member at the moment, and have "Autorenew" ticked, then it will do just that - renew automatically.

To check that: click "Account" at top of page, then "Subscription details" in left-hand menu.

If you paid £9 last year, and haven't cancelled your membership since then, it should cost you £9 again this year.

EDIT:
Well, maybe not! See Tenerife Sun's post below.

I an paying £17.96. It started out in 2003 at £7.00. I have never cancelled my membership but GR put it up, twice, whrn my credit card expired and was renewed with a new date and number

Same here Tenerife Sun, I was told when I queried the price hike that they would eventually move everyone onto the same sub but they never did..think they just said that to me to fob me off :-|

I'd send them an email Sidami, not sure when you'd get an answer though ;-)

I've just been charged £8.96 for the year.

Sidami

Sidami Report 27 May 2023 22:20

How come Kucinta? I need to put my new card number in shall I just wait for them to renew it?

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 27 May 2023 23:46

Change your credit card number, but do not renew, wait for them to renew automatically.

I've just paid £8.96 for the year - have been a member since 2003.

There's been no rhyme or reason with GR since Estelle and Phil left.

My auto renewal last June was rejected, some 'problem' with card :-S I ended up using a different one - it worked and was renewed for 8.96.
I think it's down to whoever is dealing with subs at the time - and don't get me started on the discount cheat :-|

Island

Island Report 28 May 2023 16:08

As for this - I've never bought any credits from GR :-S

I have a similar strange credit history, having never bought any - and I expect we all have.

13/03/2015 1490 13/03/2016 0

Before 2015 it regularly shows 50 credits "purchased" every year, which I assume are the "free" credits allocated when standard sub is paid each year.
But from 2016 onwards it goes haywire.
