Dear All

Hello

At the end of 01 July 1916, nearly 20,000 soldiers had been killed in France
during the Battle of the Somme during World War one.

Thousands were injured.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Between 1 July and 18 November 1916, more than 3 million men fought in this campaign and one million men were wounded or killed, making it one of the bloodiest in human history.

People have still not learned to live in peace.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On 1 July 1961, at Park House, Sandringham in Norfolk, a little girl was born to Frances and John Spencer. He was known as Viscount Althorp, later Earl of Spencer.

The baby was named Diana Frances.

She grew up to become Diana, Princess of Wales.

She would be celebrating her 63rd birthday today.

Take gentle care
Love EOS
