Hello

Feeling somewhat woebegone, because of me back, I have been thinking about
what English (and all those who identify as English) are really good at.

Prizes could be awarded for the following:


Gambling.........there is no such thing as a poor bookmaker.

Qeueuing.........If you see just one person in front of you, eveyone stands behind them in a disorderly queue. :-S :-D

Complaining....................every organisation has a complaints procedure.
If they were good at their job, then there would be no complaints
in the first place. :-S :-D

Fighting.................for toilet rolls! An oldie but a goodie! :-S :-D

Swearing.............please find dome decent words out of a dictionary.

Going to church.......................almost impossible. Many have been knocked down,
the land sold off and luxury flats built.

Finding an intelligent life form that speaks common sense.

Please add any other events you believe we are good at.

Scaremongering....... one whiff of a storm coming with bad weather and the supermarket shelves become empty in minutes!

Gossip.....who needs a paper or TV ;-) ;-)

Florence in the hebrides

Newspapers are apt to say of some sneaky photo taken of a 'star' in a miniscule bikini, that she's 'showing off her abs'!
Yea, right - that's why you took the photo is it?

Then there are the photos of someone famous, who hasn't been seen for a while.
Apparently they're 'breaking cover'.
No they're not - they're out, and a photographer was skulking in the right area to take a picture.

Don't forget the Athletic Events:

Jumping to conclusions.

Beating about the bush

Running around in circles

Marathon discussions about the weather

Or an event just for me, folding fitted sheets. I'm very proud of this talent, especially as I am no good at anything else.

Noting, discussing and or complaining about the weather. too, hot, cold, wet, dry, icy.
