I wouldn't like to start a lively debate Linda... ;-)
Mine didn't. I'll leave it at that :-|

Brushed nylon sheets :-0 arrrgh! My mother thought they were marvellous "plush on one side so cosy for winter, silky on the other side so cooler for summer" :-0 :-0 with the added bonus of being 'quick and easy to wash and dry'. I tolerated nights with those sheets for too long when I visited for the occasional weekend as she was easily offended. Finally, I plucked up the courage to politely ask for cotton sheets. In response to being asked why I said 'because I don't like nylon'. Typical mother answer was "well you always used to like them! :-0

I was putting a box back on the top shelf in Church and it was catching on something so I got a chair to stand on and look. Apart from the dust and spiders, I found a fiver!

Ah Brentford Nylon !
I had some single sheet sets in a patterned white nylon with mauve or orange or pink.
Brother-in-law was a commercial photographer and they were from a photo shoot.
That would have been early 1970s.

Also had some 'brushed' nylon sheets at one point. They had a warmer feel, but used to snag on anything rough and attach themselves like Velcro :-0

..in cupboards.

I was searching the top of my wardrobe for something and decided I ought to look at the sheets up there. Was surprised to find so many - even more surprised to find one labelled ‘Brentford’.

I got given some Brentford Nylonsheets when I got engaged or married. I remember taking them back to a branch in London and changing them for poly cotton. It must be one of those as Brentford must have gone out of business years and years ago.

I’ve been married for over 50 years.
