A great actor and I loved their canal journeys too.I thought it was very sad that his wife was left without his caring support and wondered how she will be as she wanted to stay in the family home till the end. Their son, Samuel is proving to be a fine actor too playing Seigfreid Farnon in All Creatures Great and Small.

Hello

This is very sad news to read.

Not only was Mr West one of the best actors of his generation and particularly
gifted as a theatre actor, but the devoted and tender way he has look after his
wife Prunella Scales has been inspiring to so many.

Rest in peace Mr West and thank you.

I agree with both AnninGlos and in SuffolkVera just loved him and Prue on canal trips such a gentle series and loved in the 70s in Edward V11 I was in my 20s then but I loved history then and still do

Actor Timothy West has died. He was 90 and he died peacefully in his sleep although I believe he had been in hospital. How sad that he looked after Pru for so long and now she has been left on her own. such a brilliant actor and a nice, sometimes funny man. Loved the canal trip series and was watching a recorded one a couple of days ago. R.I.P Tim. condolences to Pru and the family. <3
