Or are there others that are fed up with having to jump through hoops etc to find info while others don't :-(

If you mean genealogy info -

some people will have been doing genealogy research for longer, or more frequently, and therefore have more experience.
The more you do it, the more you learn where and how to search - and how to interpret or read between the lines of what you find.

Perhaps you don't have a sub to Ancestry or FMP.
They are where most of us find most of our info, along with free sites such as GRO, FreeBMD, FamilySearch, and others.
