Yep the old 10/- note, or as we used to say Half a Bar.

My uncle always dropped me half a dollar when we visited him as a kid, I thought I was rich :-D

We always used to get a 10/- postal order from our rich uncle in Chichester

A whatnot shelf is a piece of furniture with a series of open shelves that are supported by upright posts. Whatnots were popular in the 19th century and were used to display ornaments, books, and other objects
