I was playing a CD last night, the volume was going up and down on it's own. I came into the front room and put on my portable Cd player, so I was listening to that and knitting Angels at the same time, I left the Cd player there on the settee and went to get some more wool, came back, the Cd player said ER..which means it's empty...but I know that there was a CD in it, I opened it and took the CD out....well, there was water inside the player, like a little puddle of water....It's the same CD that that voice ' Do you know if Doris has died yet'....came to me on. Somebody likes Andrea Bocelli!!! Gotta keep this thread going McAnne.!!! Where has everone gone!!! Last weekend I had a spirit light on the wall, ever such a pretty white light and it also goes by the boys bunkbeds....Dad or Nan, I think. Stella X X |

talking of spooky tales!!!!! Not long after my dad died in 1966 when i was 14 going on 15, one day i was in the house on my own i heard someone call my name in a whisper! Another time, many years later, we had a puppy that was very poorly with distemper [we got it from a dogs home] and i stayed up with it all night, i must of fell asleep and i was woken by the feel of someone sitting by me, but when i eventually plucked up the courage to look there was no one there! Another time was when i was in bed one night and my dad came to me,and he just sat on my bed and said “look after your mum for me” then he went, and i cried cos i did'nt want him to go, and i could see him going further and further away down a very bright light like a lane and i watched till i could'nt see him and i cried and cried! I don't know if i was awake or dreaming, but it was so real! The next happened a few months ago, one night i was on my PC, i had been tracing my Granddads side of the family, when all of sudden the cats litter tray in the hall just behind me flew up in air, and when i looked i could see the tray coming down and the cat flew!!!! but the litter ended up in a pile, only a little bit scattered, and the hallway the stairs and landing were icy cold even tho i had a thick dressing gown on [it was winter] Few days later my son brought me a cup of tea in bed, i drank the tea, got up and dressed, went to the bathroom and left the cup on the window ledge on the landing, while i was in the bathroom i could hear the cup being moved on the window ledge, and i thought it must be the cat, so before she could knock it on to the floor i went to get it, but the cat was'nt there and the cup was placed neatly in the corner of the first stair down!! i was in the house on my own,my son had gone to get a paper! I think there is something my Granddads side don't want me to find out!!!!! it has'nt put me off tho! |

We were at my Mom's house, a few years ago this was, we were sat there in the front room and there was a camera on the side on a cupboard the camera flash was going off all by itself and quite a few times, I just looked and laughed, my Sister In Law said '' I'm sorry, I've got to go '' and off she went. Now I've stayed in that house overnight a few times, and the atmosphere there was horrible and it was freezing, even in summer, I felt someone constantly watching me and also saw green lights, but it had a sense of very uneasy feeling there, I had the choice to rent that house first, but I couldn't, the atmosphere just wasn't right at all. |

When my g/mother was dying (in my mums home) my uncle suggested that the crucifix which was above her head should be put on the opposite wall so she could see it, this was done but when they went back into the room later it was back above her head twice more they moved it but it kept going back to the original place after that the family decided to leave it there. No one was in the room when it was moved except g/mother and she was too weak to move! Another time I was in bed when a square appeared like a tv screen and I could see a most beautiful blue star with hundreds of small ones rushing towards it and voices saying 'hurry hurry he will be going soon' then a voice came clear as could be saying 'B......'s at peace now' two days later I heard my cousin B.... had died. hi Something really strange has just happened I was just reading the replies to this, and noticed the date of 21st being said a couple of times, and august crops up too, well my 9 year old daghter was born on the 21st and my mum died in august last year, nothing odd about that, but while i was reading these my daughter was sat eating her tea when all of a sudden she turned to me and said im really missing grandma today but it will be allright. i was thinking about her at that exact minute! nothing normally happens like that to me so very weird. I've seen 3 ghosts (2 people, 1 cat) and 1 I think was a ghost. Although I don't like that word, it sounds like something scary. |

good evening, i am andy, 20 years old and have a few ghost tales for you; Saw my first ghost at the age of about 7/8, driving home and looked out of the window and there was a man shaped mist at the roadside. then saw my first full body ghost at 13, was at my boarding house when i got up to go to the loo at about 23:00, walked back to my dorm and looked behind me to see an old woman walking towards me down the corridoor. in the room i was sharing with 2 chinese lads, one of them told me that he saw a girl walk through the wall and throw herself out of a window. then i got a poltergiest in my wardrobe, everynight at about 23:30 it would start to shake, there would be bangs and scratches, then the door would open and it would stop, if u held the door shut it would rock and bang. i have also seen people walking past me in the street dressed in strange clothes that my friends cant see. i do tarot as well |

My mum has always said - if a picture falls off the wall, there will be a death in the family. My boss found out at the beginning of the week that her mum might have a fatal condition, and had been in bits all week. Well, on Thursday I went into work and a picture in her surgery had fallen off the wall and there was glass everywhere. I thought OMG, that isn't good. My boss came in all smiles to say false alarm, everything was ok. Phew, I thought, what a load of superstious nonsense. She then said - but my grandad died this morning. Spooky!! Joanne xx |

Someone i know was in the house alone when the phone rang...when she answered it she heard a woman sobbing Help me! help me! but the voice sounded far away..after the call was disconnected she did 1471 to find out who called and her own number came up,(i don't think this is possible under normal circumstances and she only had 1 phone)she said it sounded like her mother..who had died years before. A couple of days later she got a call to say her brother had died in a traffic accident(he was on a motorbike) and was lying in a ditch for a couple of days before found.....moe |

Several months after my Dad died I was sitting knitting and thinking about him. My husband was watching telly at opposite end of room. We have a little table which is a music box, but hadn't played in years - it played a few bars of music and stopped. We looked at each other and laughed about it, few minutes later same thing happened again, both of us said 'Wasn't me' Few minutes later it happend for third time, freaked us both out, and I said 'Bet that is Dad - just like something he would do!' (He was always up to teasing and joking about). Next moment his picture fell down and landed on the music box. Freaked us both out! Also cleaning bathroom and daughter talking about Grandad, she was leaning on the sink, and I was sitting on edge of bath waiting for bath cleaner to work. Next the shower hose which had been clipped on bracket crashed of bracket, came through space between wall and shower curtain, and sprinkled water over daughters' head. She was screaming 'Stop it Granda!! I nearly fell in the bath. So many funny happenings to family members since he died, we believe he is letting us know he is still about us. Anne |

Today is the 29th anniversary of my grandma's death and my mum just told me she woke up at 7.45am this morning - the exact time her mum died. I saw my other grandmother a few months after she died. I was 9 years old and we were on a weekend trip, when I woke up in the middle of the night and saw her kiss my father on the forehead (she was his mother). I was terrifed at first and my gut feeling was that it was my grandma because, since my grandad died 23 years earlier, it had just been my grandma and dad and they were very close. Sometimes in the corners of my eyes I see both my grandmother's, quickly peeking around corners, and if I look at them, no one's there. Again I just KNOW it's them. Two years ago a close family friend died and I remember dreaming about her and she kept saying, 'I have to go now', and I was holding her hand saying 'no'. I let go of her hand and felt very calm. She was my grandma's best friend and I think she was just letting me know she would be okay and it was her time to go. Kirsten |

i hadn't spoke to my mum for a long time so i didn't know just how bad her health was , one night as i lay in bed she came and sat on the end of the bed and asked me if i was ok, i was very upset with the way she had treated me over the last years or so and just told her to go away, she stood turned and floated through the bedroom wall. i knew at that point that she had gone for ever the phone rang about seven oclock that morning and before my sister said anything i said my mums died hasn't she she said how did you know? the night before my grandmothers funeral which i wasn't going to attend due to not having a child minder. i was climbing the stairs to bed, i looked up to the top stair and saw my gran standing there she just said you will come and see me off won't you our bel. needless to say i found someone to mind my daughter and went. i had just moved into a council flat i was really happy as this was my first home after leaving home. the flat was bueatiful every think seemed so brand new inside even though the flats had been up for over 10yrs. me and my husband had only been married six months and i had just had my first child so this flat was more than we could ever have hoped for our first home everything seemed ideal, untill we heard a baby crying and it wasn't ours and at first we just thought that it must be next door. we noticed that if we closed the living room door the baby started to cry but if we left it open the cries never came this went on for about 6mnths untill one day i got talking with one of the neighbours who promptly told me that a baby had died in the living room in a fire in our flat. evedently the door handle had jammed and the mother couldn't get it open to get her baby out. so sad but that was why the flat looked brand new inside because of the fire. needless to say we moved just after that. i can honestly say that theses are only a few of the things that have happened to me in my life time that i cannot explain fully. |

I was in the bath and the bath lifted up by itself. In the boys room at night, I checked on them and something flew up through ceiling, there was a few of them whatever they were. A photo of my Son's 10th Birthday blowing his candles out, someone, in the TV, looking round a doorway this is no reflection. I have had funny visiual disturbances and felt a warmth on me, but I meditated and it went away, it was horrible lights in my eyes whatever it was. |

I am sure that someone wants me to do our family history. Who, I'm not sure. But since starting research, my daughter has had unexpected (and affordable or free ) holidays to Norfolk (probably drove through the village my step-dad's family came from) Bournemouth(my Grandma's home) and Salisbury(my birth place) and last night she was offered a 4 day sailing holiday in Poole (where I grew up). she has had more holidays in the last 10 months than I have had in my whole life. She has seen more of the places that are to do with my family in the last few months, than in the 13 years before. Now what I would like is more information about the men in our family - their names would be a good start :) When I typed this I realised that there was only one person who could be guiding me,my Grandma (or one of her relatives). |

Talking ofbeing pushed McAnne, my little Son, who is only 5, keeps going flying for no reason...as if being pushed...by no one...he keeps saying...'Whoa!!' My oldest Son, 10, keeps saying he has this spirit friend called Steven Johnson, he says he looks out of his bedroom window and he stands waving and puts his thumbs up to my Son, Son says he has a moustache and beard, he says that he has 3 spirit friends altogether. |
