Actually Lisa, I used to come down to Hayling Island, and go out on the boats from Blackstone Marina, I think it was called, mainly on a boat called Moonshine

hayling is not far from where i live...lovely place ..yes he was cheesed off but the doc told him if he didn't give it up he would end up in a wheelchair...part of his spine has dislodged ...he can't even have surgery on it as it could do more damage ..so he is resigned to just watching it on the tele nowxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(((:

no ex he was quite sporty until he damaged his spine after playing rugby...also played underwater hockey...was in the great britain team...won the european championships ...when he was younger about ten years youngerxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx((((:

I know to a degree how he must feel, I had a heart attack a while ago, and was stopped going to sea because of the strain of pulling out large Conger Eels, so started fresh water angling instead. Not the same though.

No he still does exercise but not so hard on his spine...he goes to the gym and runs miles etc......xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx((((:

You could buy him a treadmill for his birthday lol, better than that,, buy two, his and hers, and you could run together .

We didn't do too bad for snow, we had about 3 to 4ins, but was melted by lunchtime, or more or less. Since then it's been miserable, and raining right now. Bet it's nice in sunny Southsea lol

yeah baz we could be in trouble also....the isle of wight is a nice place to retire to...we love it over there..we have weekends over there..it is beautiful...might be a thoughtxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(((:

no cold and wet ....the sea was very rough ...weather predicts a few floods in the next few days...beautiful down here in the summer...couldn't ask for a better place to livexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx((((:

Wouldn't you be afraid of everyone pinching all the coloured sands from Alum Bay lol. The island would be getting smaller and smaller lol

I'm envious, I love the sea, and want to retire next to some water. Mind you, if the ice caps melt too soon, I could be under it lol, as we live right on the banks of the Thames
