Too many, good members not enough of the trouble makers. What I think a lot of people forget is one bad bit of press loses more than what one bit of good press gets. Yes GR have a lot of members, but how many are paid members? I whould imagine that number is dropping. I will be renewing when my membership runs out, but only so I can keep having a go at the WUMS that I see, and also report their threads before they get chance to delete their nasty posts. |

I'm afraid that GR have lost too many of the good people, but sadly, the not so good are still free to post on here. I will be probably renewing when my subs run out in April, but only because of the many good contacts I am still getting regarding my family tree. |

People are not numbered though Paul. It isn't the amount who go but what it has done. Maybe GR don't financially loose but what has been lost here was a precious community and not just cyber. This board was so much more than numbers...and that is what is lost, the feeling...the caring...the fun. You may be right it may not seem many if you count in numbers, but if you count what has been lost...well for me..it was more, and now it is gone sadly. Regards to Sheila, Paul, every time I go to Linlithgow I think of her. But thats is because to me she and many others were more than just numbers in a tally. |

What Paul says is right , as a % its tiny , but its the fact that people are so disillusioned with the way the site is managed that makes the parting so sad, irrespective of the contacts that may still be made As i said , when my memebrship is up i shall NOT renew |
