Hi guys just gone through this thread and thinking of March. The Ulverston area is where I live and has a lot of reasonably priced places, not too touristy either but loads of great pubs! I'm checking outdates and will post again when I have them, Who is still keen? Caz xxx

Just popped in to let you know I am still very interested. Date is not really a problem for me. Although I do have to arrange a 'Wedding' for a certain Pink Teddy just a bit further north at Gretna Green, in March or April. Jenny x

I agree with Brian that the Ulverston area would be better than Windermere. I know of two pub restaurants in that area, both quite big that might accommodate you. The Armadale at Arrad Foot and The Russland Pool near Haverthwaite. Both have rooms as well. Don't know of any in Ulverston itself. Ann Glos

If I could find somewhere reasonable to stay then yes, I might be able to make it, have never been to that neck of the woods. Liz

Hi. Caz. Is there a place in Ulverston that can accommodate the meeting? Windemere is, in my mind, a bit 'tourist'. Ulverston is a good place to base for Lake District Touring for anyone making a full week-end, it may also be more 'family cosy' for our needs. Perhaps we can do a 'recce' in November, I can extend my visit if you wish, have a good look around and then you can put your suggestions to the board. Brian (i)

Thanks Caz I had a quick look putting in Windemere as a base and it seems to take about the same time as it does to Manchester. Only one change so should be OK. Germaine x

Hi Caz, I wonder if you need to come up with a couple of tentative dates and a possible location before more people commit to being interested? Ann Glos x
