Being a 5* hotel means nothing - I remember a programme once showing Claridges hiring people 'off the street' to help in the kitchens, and not even requiring them to wash their hands! |

Vivienne... there is so much money involved in football today. Some people would go to any lengths to secure European football. Jean x. |

Food poisoning at at 5* Hotel? Surely the staff should be better trained then that. It does sound a bit suspect. The depths some people sink to. |

Hi Linen Lady I don't think anyone has seriously suggested that it was a 'fan' or anyone else that did the poisoning if indeed it was poisoning. There must be a suggestion of foul play though for the police to have been called.? It may not even be deliberate , no-one knows yet, but no-one is pointing the finger at anyone. xx |

I am not a football fan at all but I think it is scandolous that any of you would suggest that a serious football fan would consider doing anything so dangerous as to poison food. If the food was poisoned or poison introduced in some other way then the person/s responsible could not consider themselves fans. The same with hooligans at matches, they are not fans just thugs whoever they say they support. Vivienne xx |

Muffy i do agree,we would be really p*****d of Dawnie if there were that many good players in Britain all english teams would field eleven englishmen, just look at the fuss over Rooneys injury and trying to find a replacement for him, most foriegn teams have every position covered in depth Steve from Somerset |

Steve all your foreign players will feel at home then against foreign teams. Shame English clubs don't have more English players |

Steve ;0P Be honest, as a gooner, what would you expect your team to do about it if the roles had been reversed? |

Muffy Not a lot and I can think of a few that would of made more of a fuss but then these foreigners are like that. lol |

Dawnie There are a few teams that I won't mention that would've refused to play and been allowed to get away with it. We should've made more of a fuss. Ridiculous to have to field a team suffering from, well if not food poisoning, then something really horrid. What chance did we have.? |

thought Martin Jol was very good in his after match interview yesterday, and you can understand West Ham not wanting a reply this week but for that many players to be ill when they are all in the same place something must of happened. And yes I am a Spurs fan but if the shoe was on the other foot Arsenal would of made more of a fuss by now.. |

LOL Jane. Don't blame you at all for that. Probably won't happen anyhow. It just strikes me as wrong if it is sabotage for result to stand. However, not too fair on West Ham as well I must admit. |

LOL Jean I was too upset yesterday to really think it through, and I don't want to come across as a sore loser, but if it is deliberate food poisoning, I think a match re play is in order? Obviously I'm biased, so would like to know what everyone else thinks. Be honest though, even if you support Ar****l how would you feel if the roles were reversed and it was your team? |
