Has anyone managed to get the Ann Baker book yet? I saw several of hers in town and in the library today but not yet managed to find a copy. I also looked in 'the works' which sells off paper backs at a reduced price and i have seen her books there before. Norah, Is it a new one of hers or has it been around a while. I will have to request it from the library. i did get Far from the madding crowd from Glos main library today so will start with that one. Ann Glos |

Have read post Ann! Haven't read Thomas Hardy since I left school so should be an interesting return - wonder if his descriptive passages will still annoy me after all this time? Kaz :o)) PS I liked 'Lady of Hay' too Maz |

hello Ann I'm really sorry I haven't been about - when the kids are off school I just can't get on here during the day! Last night I was in bed by 9 as I had a splitting headache. I am soooo pleased to be reading my fave book FFTMC for GReaders. The voting has made me very happy! I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as me :-))) I have gone back to Labyrinth to give it another try but I am not over-optimistic. I think I find her style a bit pretentious and forced, also it is billed as a 'time-slip' novel (like others I have read the best ever Lady of Hay) and it just isn't. Maz. XX |

Sounds good to me Ann. As this is my first time, do you have any top tips as to where to get the chosen books from. Do you buy them or get them from the library? |

thanks Dee Right, I am going to make a decision here We read the two books chosen and we read any of the others we want to read and review them. And next month none of the suggested novels for this month can be suggested again. The classics can be re-suggested. How does that sound. Review to be on 1st may. |

I don't think everyone has seen this yet. please sign in when you read it, even if you don't vote for the second book. I seem to be having to do an awful lot of chasing around with this this month. I don't want to have to nag. Please say if you don't really want the book club to run next month. Ann Glos |
