Simply that I found your last post confrontational.

I passed comment an hour ago, no comment then, why now, an hour later? just because i disagree with you? or are you proving a point?-that i am commenting ''because i dont like you and want a ruck''- because if that is the case you are wrong - VERY WRONG- if you wish to harbour a grudge, you carry on

Jess, On my last ever post to you I suggested we keep a wide berth of each other. I am willing to do that can't you?

wondered how long that would take to pop up again- what has it to do with thread deletion/popularity or what ever?

Dave, I found it an unfair comment when some members on here (yourself included) accused me of being Mike.

This is a very emotive subject at the moment and there seems to be two different camps or train of thought on this, but becouse we realy dont know for sure if GR read posts they are asked to kill or just kill on request we can argue till we are blue in the face and never to the bottom of the problem Steve who has had lots of threads pulled and still dont know why lol

Kaz in a Tizz Report 13 Mar 2006 14:20

Hi Kate and everyone I would imagine that most threads get deleted because someone has objected to the content. We are all from such diverse backgrounds, views, ages, beliefs, that it is not surprising that there is a difference of opinion in what constitutes 'offensive'. Therefore I feel a bit sorry for the person who gets called petty and small minded when it could be they genuinely found something offensive or a parent of a 16yr old! However, I am sure there will be the odd one or two who just do it for annoyance or to have a go at the poster! I think its not worth worrying about cos we won't be able to find out! BTW is anyone as nosey as me? When Bev says 'a popular board member' Im shouting who? who? Never mind always have been to nosey for my own good! Cheers Kaz :o)

Hi Kate, I never post risque jokes. I know they are likely to be deleted. I hardly ever post anything that I think will be deleted. Even when I get very het up about an issue I try to keep my temper. I have lapsed occasionally, I must admit. Gwynne

I dont think there is any inner circle here Kate, we all have people we are friendly with and some we are not , but because somebody is not contensious it doesnt mean they are a sheep and I think that an unfair comment of you! I say what I feel often it gets me in trouble but I admire many people on here for their constructive but not contensious views , and I think your sheep comment is uncalled for! Davex

Gwynne, If both of us told the same risque joke, I would be the one who gets the public execution.

Dawnie, I'm sure we'll get on fine. Gwynne

Guinevere Report 13 Mar 2006 14:08

Hi Kate, So by your definition I'm probably pretty unpopular then. I'm not known for keeping my mouth shut on many contentious issues but I think it's OK to disagree with people's opinions without disliking them. Gwynne

Unknown Report 13 Mar 2006 14:03

Gwynne, In my opinion the 'popular' members are the ones that don't stand up and voice their opinons. I prefer the term 'sheep'. If you don't rock the boat then you are allowed to join this inner circle but if you do then threads get deleted and your words seem to get twisted out of context.

Hi Blue, I think I mean that a lot of people like her. She's a really nice person. What did you mean by popular? Gwynne

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 13 Mar 2006 13:48

Blue, Who is to say who is popular? I would say that Dawnie is a very popular member but she had 3 threads deleted last week. Gwynne
