Helen Report 9 Mar 2006 23:51

Hi Marie - definitely not Grizzly Adams - this was Saturday evening material with a really fast catchy tune - ' My name is BJ _____ and this is my best friend bear' from recollection. Might have been in a jeep but I am going on memory and I'm sure it was American! Dukes of Hazard is another classic.

Ooooh will have to think about bear one then!!!! I will come back to that if it appears in my sad old brain!!!!! Loved Dukes of Hazard. I remember laughing about stupid old Rosco the policeman and my Grandad going all misty eyed about Daisy Duke. I personally had a thing about Luke Duke. Happy Days was another favourite then following that the lovely Scott baio in Joanie loves Chachi. 'Sit on It'

No TV for us in the 40s and 50s. But as adults my husband and I loved Catweazle which I think was supposed to be for the children!
