only sometimes when I'm totally out of my tree. But have to admit to enjoying the odd cigar on special occasions. |

I've never smoked. My dad and a lot of his friends did though, and I always associated lighting up with being followed by a lot of coughing. My dad had emphysema and died of cancer. My father-in-law smoked almost incessantly until his 3rd heart attack. He stopped overnight because they wired him to a heart monitor so he couldn't get to the balcony outside the ward where you were allowed to smoke. Having not had a fag for a week, he just never had one again. But his house used to reek of smoke. I don't like coming home from a night out with my clothes smelling like ashtrays. Very pleased that both my boys think smoking is a) disgusting and b) stupid nell |

Never smoked nor has my husband, - apart from the one cigarette his Dad caught him puffing on as a youngster. He made him finish it and that was the 1st and last one for him. None of our 3 adult children smoke either. |

Smoked for over 40 years, stopped four years ago....But I would never be smug! I do feel proud though, as every photo of me over the years, has a ciggie in one hand and a glass of wine in the other....Now it is just the glass! lol BC |

will you all stop saying you are going for a ciggie. Gave up in March this year. Not dying for one but am now putting on the weight & I don't like it. Hubby reformed smoker to the hilt. Don't want to start again but don't like the feeling of being fat either. Hilary. x |

Ashamed to admit it, me also. Stopped for 8 months three years ago, now smoking more than ever. In the middle of completley re decorating the lounge, new carpets, suite etc. There will be a no smoking ban in that room once all finished. I am hoping this will help me at least cut down if not stop altogether. Jenny. |
