Old Crone I've found your Sulieman. It is of course well known that Sulieman is a variant of Solomon. There is only one Solomon Large on Ancestral File, born circa 1802 in Washington VA. This must be your man. |

Definitely Tramp, Nell, definitely. I saw it in a transcription thread............. There were MANY ladies of the name Minnie in that family, too........... [just look in the Land of Yips for them!]. Iam SO pleased about Old Crone having more relatives, especially after her link with Mike in the West and his hedgehog Hatpin. :-) Joy |

Suzeuki I think we are onto something here - she was actually called Minnie the Minx (sometimes transcribed as Janet Bloggs). Nell Yep, thats definitely him, he loved Rusks and besides breeding ferrets, they had a biscuit factory, staffed by the other 73 children. Now, can anyone help me find my link to Suleiman the Great? Oh wow..Olde crone, do you know the names of any of the Ferrets?? Maybe they are related to some that live with Linda the ferret lady, Have to check with her to see how far she's got with their ancestry. Though you may be mistaken about the name Farley...I think it was Minnie the Mink. Sue |

Olde Crone Well I am so pleased to have made a link on this site at last - and I am sure you are right because my mum worked in a nursery during the war and there was a baby there called Charley Farley. I think he liked rusks. My mum's mum was called Ferret by one of her sons, so I think that clinches it. I think we must be cousins umpteen times removed. Does this make me an olde crone too, or can I be a young(ish) crone? nell |

My million times GF was called Charley Farley and his wife was Minnie (think this is short for Janet). They lived in the UK and I am sure they were ferret breeders because a lady in America has been in touch and she has the whole Farley tree and she has done a lot of research so it must be true. Charley and Minnie had 74 children over a period of 110 years - marvellous, werent they? These old timers certainly were tougher than we are, I am sure I would have been totally exhausted. Ithink us both having rellies called Charley is far too much to be just coincidence, so I have tacked my tree onto yours.I accidently uploaded it 20 times, but that doesnt matter, because I have now singlehandedly increased Genes Ancestors by 1,000,000 overnight. I bet that pleases them. Olde Crone |

Joy Is that Vera Tramp, or did you mean Vera Atramp? I've found a marriage ref for a John O'Groats but it might be a typo for O'Tramp. Or am I clutching at straws here? I think John 0'Groats was Scottish and illegitimate as his dad is Ben Becula or Ed Inborough. Mum was Ann Coats, but I think the O'Groats bit was a way of making Coats sound posher. Thanks for your help though. I only need another 347,890,9032 names and I will be back to Adam and Eve! nell |

I'm not sure now Joy. I've had another look at the cert and Bob MIGHT be Babs. Charley, my mum's mum's sister's husband's granddaugther by his first marriage, was definitely called Chuck in the family. I think the other grandchildren were Vera and Dave. nell |
