Ann, Thanks for the update. Sounds as though the medics have done wonders. Hope all continues well. Thinking of you all still. Love Jane x PS: My Mum had a serious op in Southampton General about 5 years ago - they were absolutely outstanding and she has made a (almost too!) full recovery. Clearly they have some very, VERY good people there.

UPDATE. Jon came through the op OK. wont know until he is fully conscious if he has any ill effects from it. it was a small clot, had pain in arm & leg Sunday pm, Drs Monday am, Winchester hospital for a scan Monday am, to Southampton General for the op. They say he should make a full recovery but will let you know when we know more. Will be at Lynda's from this afternoon, maybe until Monday. Apparently it was the sort of clot that is usually caused by a bang to the head and when they thought back they remembered that when they were in the Lake District about 3 weeks ago the car boot came down on Jon's head. So be careful. I have had that happen to me again thank you for caring, please keep him in your thoughts a little longer until he is fully conscious and on the road to recovery. Ann glos
