After years of wondering where you are... I have a half brother who born in 1964 and was given the name Leeroy which I'm sure had been changed when adopted at 6 weeks old. I was about 18 months old. Sadly mum was not able to keep you..we lived in Willesden west London our mum is still alive and very well we both would love to meet life is too short...

I've got one sister Anne, 3 years younger, we were always quite close but have become even more so since doing our family tree together. The other day she phoned me at 1.15 AM to tell me about something she'd just found on the internet. Can't tell you what I said! Carolyn

Well Rose, I have a slightly unusual setup but nothing to do with the war! I was adopted as a baby and brought up as an only child - very happily I might add. Then last year, I had contact with my older half-sister, and younger half-brother and half-sister. Won't go into whole story here, but I now have the most wonderful younger brother! In just a year, we have become very close, as if we've known each other all our lives, which is partly due to us both having very supportive partners. We have many similarities but mostly our warped sense of humour! Our two families get on really well together. He's younger so I can mother him, but he's much taller so he can protect me!

How about this I am an only child BUT WAIT FOR IT When war broke out and my Mum was widowed early in 41 we headed home,so did my aunt . Her husband was on the Burma -Siam Railway. So I grew up with my Brother and Sister,as I thought until I was old enough to know better. It was tribal,we had me and my Mum, my Nanna and Grandpa, My Aunt and her kids and then her husband was spirited out of the Burmese Jungle by native Malayans ,having been left for dead by Japs who that day were too lazy to shoot those who feel aside. So although an only child I had a surrogate Dad, who was graet, two Mums who fought like cats but loved each other really and this great brother and sister. Sadly my brother died and my sister and I miss him dearly Rose Has anyone else strange family arrangements from the war years

Youngest of two children. Elder brother died in 1965 when he was 17 from cancer. Spent last 39 on my own. Damn lonely at times and especially now that parents are into their 80's. Hubby is eldest of eight. Wendy
